I hate this whole idea that whole food groups are 'evil'. Carbs are evil, fats are evil, sugar is evil. I don't believe you should cut anything from your diet entirely. I'm a firm believer that food is for pleasure as well as to keep you alive. Sure, if it helps you out, I get it.

💜 I don't want to sound judgy. As a fast diet, things like that work, but as a lifestyle, I can't see myself avoiding all that.

They are not evil, it's all about balance. A bit like a family - you need em all, just maybe not all to visit at once :)

My treat day consists of bread, rice or pasta/noodles. I can’t cut these out completely but I can minimise. It’s deffo all about balancing

Absolutely Yasmin15585 :D ... I can't possibly diet without the nice stuff too ( far too depressing and it never works very long)

Everything in moderation, it's simple algebra. Calories in / Calories out. that's why I find FS so useful

I so agree! The perfect joy of eating together; preparing favourite meals and savouring all the so called "naughty" foods is what life is all about! It's definitely about balance but then it depends on how certain foods can affect certain illnesses. My husband has Type 2 diabetes and a low carb regime for the last two months has certainly helped to lower his blood sugar and his high blood pressure. Lifestyle changes but still having a little treat are the way forward now for him.

Hi everyone. I’ve been on this since October and I have lost 24 pounds! I still eat my favourite foods but smaller portions and no snacking!!!
I think this has helped me stop and think! I use Tom Kerridge recipe book too!
