So yesterday I found that if I eat a lot more protein and vegetables I can eat a lot fewer calories overall. Quite a breakthrough for me. I think that the vites I'm taking are helping as well, and I'm also careful to drink adequate water but preferably not with food. Tea is yummy, too. I've been measuring added fats and keeping them to minimum. This is really fun and exciting. Laurel helped me realize that I don't need the weight loss doctor, or to rely on the advice of Marc David or Julia Ross or anyone else. I can figure this out on my own. However, I've noticed that I do have issues-- anger about feeling that my diet and exercise are for others and not me, anger about people not finding me good enough as I am. I have to find ways to exercise that are pleasurable for me and do not feel like something I'm doing for someone else. The latter will never last or work. Since things fell apart with David I've been missing television and I decided that one way to help me exercise would be TV, as it has helped before. So I went to the video store last night and checked out two videos. I've also realized that maybe just sticking to the one Jorge Cruise book is too restrictive for me, maybe I need to allow myself more wiggle room in the weight training department. But conversely, I may have been allowing myself too much wiggle room in the cardio department. So much walking lately and not as much dancing and biking and other more intense cardio. As David and Angelina pointed out, the important thing is to find a routine I can stick to-- rather than going to one extreme or the other or back and forth as I have been doing. I wonder how many calories I've actually been eating and if I need to know? Today I plan to devise and exercise plan and to exercise. Also I want to work meditation back into my life and be more serious about it rather than just laying around listening to my meditation cds. And I want to finish the heart rate training book and see if that can help me...

I'm sure you'll do well on your plan because you seem quite motivation. Just make sure you "do it" on a daily basis. Get a routine, stick to it daily, and be patient. Success will come. The same thing you do to lose 1 or 2 pounds will be the same thing you have to do to lose 10, 20, or more. So sticking to your routine is essential. I wish you well! :)

Thanks, Pking! I suppose sticking to it is the tough part, but I know I can do it. :)
