wholefoodnut's Journal, 10 May 15

Almost 13,000 steps so far today, still have more to do. Will have to get a new fitbit band, mine is splitting. I had a nice day and a beautiful plant arrived from my oldest and her family. Took a quick walk around the neighborhood between storms.

Storms wandering through off and on all day. Hoping it dries out soon at least for a week or so. The forecast says it will start again on Thursday and another rainy weekend.

Well, I will have to re-evaluate my pantry shelves probably go back to my original stationary plan instead of adjustable ones. The brackets didn't hold and the whole thing crashed!!! Beans and pasta everywhere, what a mess!! At least no glass and beans are washable, dryable, and sortable. Course the pasta went in the trash. Scared the crazy pup she would not come back in the house for hours.

The spice rack on the door looks great with matching jars. At least I made a huge dent in getting things in containers, labeled, and more organized. I need more containers. My house is cleaner and much less cluttered, it feels good tonight. Every step is progress.

I buy a pile of bands from amazon because my flex bands split a lot, I can't figure out why. 13000 steps is quite a healthy amount you should be proud of that. What are you using for brackets? Did they not get attached into studs? Although if your pantry is like mine you are storing many many pounds of jars and probably need something more hefty and permanent anyway. I am redoing a closet upstairs closer to the kitchen for more pantry storage.

Dang there are coons on my roof this am, not in my attic though!!! I can hear them. This is the first time my band has split. Those metal ones with the holes where you can put in shelf holders. I think what happened is that the screws caught just the edge of the studs. I can't get closer to the walls where the studs are. The closet is only 31 inches wide. I may have to patch the holes, touch up paint, reposition the brackets using molly bolts and add a center one for extra support. I'll also add some liquid nail on the back of the brackets. That should do it.

Glen, the weird thing was there was a huge flash of lightening and thunder crack just as it crashed. I thought my house or something in the back yard had been hit. Thankful it was my shelves.

You always are so very busy and you are such an incentive to me as I read your journals I am able to complete more of my projects because of itlol ...hugs to your puppy WFN... I know my maxie reacts similar as yours when something like that happens to me... he thinks because I curse...a lot.. for the entire time Im cleaning up the mess... its his fault it happened... so then I feel bad because I reacted the way I do when I view his little sad face:( Did I mention at times I can act like a two year old when things like this happen to me lol... I hope you have a great day and continue on with your success on your journey:)

So sorry your project didn't work. Al least you seem to have a good sense of humor about it. Hope the rest of your week goes well.

Poor puppy. I would have jumped out of my skin hearing that noise. All will work out in the end eventually. The pup, kitchen, and coons. I am so glad you got out for a walk and you have a new Mom's Day plant. What kind is it?

Ok find someone who owns a coon skin cap, and nail it to the roof. When they climb up and see it just sit back in a lawn chair, nod, and tell them say hello to my little friend. Problem solved.
