Almost didn't get up early enough this morning, but reading through some inspiring posts on FS got me up and at it - so I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH3oUV2LhGs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77h45P8IKOY ...and got my sweat on. Will try to do the same on Friday morning.
I have to remind myself of that saying - 'Comparison is the thief of joy'. Comparing myself to anyone else here on FS will get me nowhere. We're all on our own individual journeys and I can't go - just because I don't have a full weight set and home gym I 'can't do anything'. I'll just try to show up for myself in any way I can for now - with my puny 3kg and 1.5kg weights. Also will try to actually stick to my calories this week - the past two weeks I was well over.
Have a great day all!

Good job on working with what you have and not getting caught up in comparison. Btw, most people I know don't lift heavy weights and they still manage to be at a healthy weight and are happy enough with that.

You have had a rough ride since December 2020, so be gentle on yourself. Good on you for staying in the game. I'm glad you are still here and I know you've got what it takes. Lots of luffs and hugs 🧚♀🧜♀🧝♀

Yeah like you said everyone has their own journey and it’s so easy to compare yourself to someone else. I tend to do it all the time but it’s not realistic.
You are someone who has been supporting me from the very beginning, heck my weight is a never ending circle but because of the support I just don’t wanna give up. And I wanna just thank you for that.

Aah, thank you NankeS! That means alot to me! I know you can do it so I hope you'll start to feel that confidence in yourself. I think you're often so hard on yourself, but it's fantastic that you always keep going - and you will get there!!! 👍⭐

I used my puny 1, 2, & 3 kg weights for the first couple of months of my weight loss, health and fitness journey. Highly effective and all you really need.
One secret I discovered is that if you lift and lower light weights very sloooooooowly it’s as effective as lifting heavier weights but without the stresses on your joints. Doing light weights, paying attention to proper form and doing them slowly is very effective.

Thanks for the tips Jomo1903! I guess I'm just a bit frustrated because I was building up to 6.5kg weights at one point, but had to sell them. Would love to get back there again and further, but I'll make do for now.
