Nice to be in the 150s zone after weeks stuck in the 160s.

Of course with Christmas and New Year just 12 weeks away there's talk of stocking up with all the usual festive jollities, including mince pies, cream, ice cream, chocolates, crisps, booze, booze and more booze. And historically that's when I start putting the pounds.

However, in the words of Baldrick, "I have a cunning plan!"

Lose a few more pounds between now and then, indulge in 2 weeks of festivities, take a deep breath when I step on the scales January 2nd, and just hope I've managed to stay within my "comfort zone" of no more than 165lbs.

But even if I have gone over, it shouldn't be too difficult to shift; and is certainly a better proposition compared to last January when I was over 210lbs !!

Anyway, must forget about Christmas, it's only October for Pete's sake.

It's never too early for Christmas - I made my Christmas cakes today - just saying. Oh! and I have calculated the calories per slice (312 cals) 😳😂

Haha totally agree Gypsy Tart I made my Christmas cake yesterday! Need plenty of time to feed it up. Might get inventive this year with Christmassy food and try and make a few new traditions that are a bit healthier than the usual though! I have a great recipe for sprout and green apple slaw somewhere...

Well done Jim! Great plan, thinking ahead 😉 I started buying mince pies last month, hoping I’ll be sick of them by Christmas 😂
