zero waste living 🎉🎉 I also repurpose jars for all sorts of things...

Yay, Shereen! Zero waste would be my ideal, but it's not always easy. I do try though. Still so much unnecessary packaging in SA and I'm not doing everything I could - for instance the instant oats I bought from PnP (because I am cheap) now comes in a horrible plastic bag instead of the nice recyclable cardboard box it used to be in so I won't buy it again, but didn't try hard enough to find an alternative last time. We just all need to be a bit more aware of what we're consuming i.e. not just the product, but the packaging as well.

I agree... It's super difficult to do and to change all the things we use. Even these great stores that have popped up recently where you can take your own containers... Are... Well.. targeting the upper market and not cost effective. I feel like even if I consciously make one small change.. then it's better than using mindlessly forever.

I agree, every single change will make a difference in the end. We'll just keep trying and doing what we can. :)

@Nikina70, the original Jungle Oats still comes in a box and it's cheaper than their bag to incentivise ppl to buy that instead xx

Just looking at your slices of banana, so beautiful around the rim. I'm more inclined to just toss it all in, haha!

I usually just toss them in too and a few minutes after this it was all smushed together! :)

Lovely Nikina! Mindful living. Did you also find that when one takes charge of a single aspect of one's self such as diet by eating 'consciously', that same awareness just permeates into all aspects of one's life in a naturally enpowering way? A beautiful affirmation of the simple assertion: We are what we eat. Everyone, eat awesome today and stay Awesome.

Yes Beezneez. I think being in control of what I eat and logging everything on this app helped me through the stressful uncertainty of 2020, which still prevails. And it does empower me in a sense. Keeping up with exercise has also made me feel less helpless somehow. I hope you eat and stay awesome today too! All the best!
