I had a big drop in weight this week after a consistent 1 pound a week losses. I'm not sure why it is now (5th week), except, I started some blood pressure medicine that also has a mild water pill with it. So, maybe I was holding on to water weight and I didn't work overtime and slept more. Still, a 7 lb. loss in one week was tremendous. I was wondering when all this effort was going to pay off. I am still consistently trying to adjust the diet and exercise to promote weight loss (and inches). Because of the lack of weight loss previously, I am watching my fats more and limiting them more. I am now drinking my morning coffee black and watching salad dressing size and butter on vegetables. I am trying to use different things for seasoning on veggies. Tonight I roasted my veggies with avocado spray oil and Everything but the Bagel seasoning. It was very good. I tried Italian dressing and didn't like it. I, also, am trying to eliminate the second meal before bed. This is a challenge for me as I'm used to eating after working the P.M. shift (11:30). I'm trying to just talk myself out of it by saying "just go to sleep". I am open to suggestions.

First of all everything that you said on here I totally agree with. Congratulation on the drop in weight. I understand that eating late might be difficult for you, this is what has helped me so far, I’m not saying it’s right or not but it has helped me. Push your breakfast time to a later time, this way the amount of calories you’re take in Will still be within your calorie allocate it. Or make air popped popcorn season it with Parmesan cheese and chili powder, not so many calories and you still feel like you’re eating something. I really don’t know if this will help or not but just thought I would say something

Disregard the Parmesan cheese, because it is salty and you do have issues with the blood pressure in the water retention. You could add different types of seasoning the way you like it that aren’t very salty.

Thanks for the suggestions but I fast in the morning generally and don't eat popcorn due to the carbs. I continue to minimize the late night meal and only eat a meal at 6 P.M. I could eat celery and peanut or other type of butter or just nuts. I will try that this week. I need to find an exercise I like and will do regularly.

Lemon! Fresh squeezed lemon on veggies helps tremendously.
