Fruit doesn't actually do us any good. Fructose is only digested by the liver and turned into fatty acids - according to the Gut doctors. Above ground veg are much, much better for you. Do you have problems with ordinary sugar which is half glucose half fructose or do you cope okay with the small amount of fructose that you use in it.

I don't have sugar in tea or coffee and don't eat much chocolate or sweets I'm very savoury. I do find when go through a sweet tooth stage I get bloated and feel sick

Well it won't hurt you at all to avoid fruit as long as you can eat plenty of veg. Veg is healthier anyway. Sorry you're feeling miserable!

I am such a veg fan. My problem is if I go too long between meals I get awful headaches and grumpy I was putting fruit in at 3 to keep me going. I don't like hummus I need to find a snack to tide me over. I'm thinking vegetable stick's or maybe eggs. I don't really like yoghurts either. I may cook batches of chicken or something

I cook a batch of chicken drumsticks on a Sunday to keep in the fridge and they’re still fine on Friday. I use a variety of spice rubs to stop them being boring. Hard boiled eggs last the same (leave them in shells). Have you considered savoury yoghurt? A pinch of salt & pepper in plain, live yoghurt with grated veg - onion, cucumber, carrot, etc. If you like it you can experiment with other herbs and spices. Keep weighed cubes of strong cheese in a covered tub as well for easy, healthy snacking that can be logged easily. Take care 👍🏻

Phooka thanks great ideas I think protein snacks is the way to go. Was thinking lettuce leaves stuffed with ham and salad also to get more veg in. Will stock up chicken and eggs thanks
