Feeling really good following the IF 16:8 schedule with my meals. I am finding it easy not to eat until 2pm by keeping busy and drinking plenty of water.
Time seems to zoom by once Ian is home, and my 8pm curfew is working well for us both to eat evening meal together.

A new incentive which has appeared tonight is that we have booked our winter ski/sports holiday to the French Alps (L'Alpe d'Huez) - flying out from E.Midlands to Chambéry on Sat 4th March for a week !

Ian will be skiing for 6 days (mornings) and I will be partaking of as many winter sports as possible - there is an outdoor ice rink, dog sledding, snow mobiling (I would do this every day!!!) and snow shoe trips.

Researched the hotel and resort thoroughly (as I do) and I will be walking to an ice cave museum and relaxing in the hotel's spa and pool.

Plenty to do and see from the sounds of it, but of course I will want to look and feel confident in my thermals !
So a countdown chart will be constructed by me and total focus placed on losing as much weight as I can before we fly out!

Well after doing my research on IF I am more than happy to incorporate it into my life as much as possible.....not only for the weight loss but the other health benefits too.
Through the forum posts on here regarding IF I found a link to a chap called James Clear who is a great advocate for IF, having changed his eating pattern to daily 16:8 IF.
The PDF he wrote which I downloaded gave me all the info I needed (though now I can't find it...floating around in the virtual memory of my laptop, along with goodness knows what else!!!)

In any case, I have started my 16:8 IF today commencing at 13:30 until 19:30. Aside from keeping on track with my food, doing this time schedule will help me break the late night snacking I had started to develop which was getting me onto a downward spiral...not good for me at all !!!

I will record how I am feeling about IF as the days progress, and of course start logging my weight more regularly too!

Total crappy week up to now....my previous resolve, focus, determination & willpower have all disappeared, and although I started each day wanting to stick to a diet plan, by the evening the knowledge of the 300g bars upstairs has been too much to cope with, and the arguments in my head have lead me to over-eat.

It comes down to the simple fact that I have just not wanted the weight loss enough!

I have now changed my FS settings so that only I (hopefully?!) can see my recordings here, as I don't feel I can 'share' my bad week with ppl, and don't like my failure/lapse/whatever I want to call it to be 'out there' on this site. I know everyone is nice, helpful, supportive but I need this to be private for now.

However, on the positive side,I am determined that my 'all or nothing' personality will not make me give up on this site; I know this site IS what I need to help keep me going, to lose this weight, to be happy again, to not let another year go by ending up feeling a failure, always thinking "coulda, woulda, shoulda" !!!

So, I plan to continue recording as accurately as possible all my intake, and log journal entries for my eyes only.

The weight entries I will record more sporadically, not on any set dates. Though I know how seeing a downward chart motivates me....so I plan to do record more than less.

Let's just see how I can end this year !
