Great, another pound off, and I'm getting used to the 16:8 IF though yesterday was more like 19:5 due to being at the cinema again!
Having more of a KeeDiet/Atkins bar day whilst eating some 'good' fats by having a small amount of nuts and a mini Babybel. It'll take me some time to use up my bars and packs but that's what I've decided to do before really focusing on doing LCHF. Had a little practice yesterday keeping my carbs low, and apart from the hot chocolate (my guilty pleasure at the cinema 😉) I was surprised how full I was on what seemed to be not a lot of food. I have always loved avocados and am so pleased I can fit them into my eating plan, though maybe not every day while I'm counting calories.
I love the digital food scales my son recommended, I'm using them all the time, essential for the nuts...15gs does not look a lot and there is no way I could take a guess how many Brazils or pecans are in 15gs.
Almost end of week 1 of the Sassy challenge, so I'll weigh in again tomorrow morning and do the updates, right now it's water, water (& the odd black coffee) everywhere 😁!!!

I've spent all evening researching LCHF meals/videos/advice, and like what I've seen/read. Ian used to follow a paleo type diet when he attended his 'caveman training' classes, so can understand the nutrition and science behind this, which is obviously a great help for me when I go shopping and start concocting our LCHF meals.....ha, that'll be fun for Mrs Non-Chef but working on it!!

As I had previously stated though, I'm using up all my KeeDiet meal replacement packs in conjunction with my stock of Atkins bars, and will still keep doing IF 16:8 each day, as I feel good during the fasting period, and find I can drink a lot of water easily during this time.
As it's a new year I have updated my bio and put a more recent photo on my profile.
Ending this long night (it's now 1:45am) in a very positive mood.
Happy, tired lady signing out for now.

Had an 18:6 day today as my first food was a surprise birthday lunch for Nick at Miller & Carter and we didn't start eating until 2pm (my last meal finishing at 8pm yesterday). Didn't feel famished and desperate to eat but I did enjoy the food without feeling guilty, though the sharing nachos plate was not as nice as expected, and I wouldn't choose that again.

Having decided to have a 'dry' January (even though it's my birthday in a couple of weeks, so no prosecco...what a martyr!) I had Pepsi Max and asked for a jug of iced water, and continued to drink sparkling water when home.

As there are no preset calories for M&C meals here (and I have also checked elsewhere online), I have pretty much had to pick the nearest equivalent to what I've eaten, and think it's a fair assessment.

Depending on how I feel tomorrow I may have a KeeDiet pack & Atkins bar day. After the big meal today I might give my digestive system a bit of a rest and start working my way through the many packs I have resolved to use this month.
This time tomorrow we shall see if that is indeed what I chose to do :)

As a follow up to my new entry for 2017.....I am continuing the IF way of eating, starting off at 16:8 for a couple of weeks then increasing if necessary to 18:6, and I will be inputting my intake (& planned meals in advance) as before.

As well as the new 2 month challenge which is just what is needed right now, I have several events occurring throughout the year which will also help to keep me focused, and determined to shift this weight, ending the year in a better place mentally as well as physically.

I have changed the privacy setting on my profile back to 'view by buddies'. It IS nice to receive comments but it's also fine if I don't. I am after all primarily recording my journal entries for my own encouragement, as if I am writing to another 'ME'.....I find this does help keep me on track with the discipline of logging/planning what I eat and drink, and is just a part of what I do in my day.
Ok, well time to log my intake for the 1st day in January, and plan for the 2nd.
