Hitting 40s really took its toll on my body. That is when I began gaining and gaining weight. I have two boys 18 and 14, who are both high functioning special needs children. I have spent most of my time worrying about them, taking care of their needs and not taking care of myself so I will be here to help them in the future.

I am also migraine sufferer and when I get a migraine I find that eating unhealthy food is very satisfying. Why you ask, I don't know, but at that point, I just don't care. I otherwise have eaten very healthy, at least in my opinion.

I have been a member of a community fitness center and was going fairly regular two years ago, but life got in the way. Well, since May 2008 I have decided that I just don't like seeing myself in pictures ANY more and that it is time to take time for me. So I enrolled in a strength training class as the first step to getting this body fit. And I have joined my buddy, 4thehalibut, on the South Beach diet and this web site for support to get me back on track for a healthier and fit 2008!
