bowd65's Journal, 03 Nov 16

went to the dentist at 4pm been having trouble with one tooth. Decided to have it extracted and after 90 minutes and two dentists pulling, tugging and cutting it is out!! Unfortunately i have sutures and on antibiotics. So only managed a sandwich cut up into little squares. Just took painkillers and first antibiotic. Think an early night is in order. Hope tomorrow is a better day. Meeting a friend for lunch, might just be on soup though 😁

Hopefully it was at least a heavy tooth, at least it should also be much better in good time for the turkey season.

That sounds nasty - hope it heals quickly and cleanly!

Thank you both, it is quite sore this morning. I am usually a quick healer, so fingers crossed!

wow! what a tough dental time you had! btw: I read your bio and I just felt so much for you and your journey with the ups and downs that I wanted to send you a virtual hug! I am so impressed that you are getting back at it even after so much discouragement....I am trying to do the same:) Rachel

Thanks for the hug Rachel, it's a bit better this morning. Not quite sure what foods i will have today as i need a soft option. Glad you are getting back to it, the support on here is brilliant and logging everything i eat has helped me 😆

Oh dear Bowd. I feel for you. Keep warm and take your antibiotics until they are all gone. Soup is nice to eat this time of the year.. Take care my buddy . Have a restful day, if you can 🍝 🌹🌹🌹

Poor you, horrid! However, soup yummy :). Except oxtail. Oxtail is soup of the devil.

Funny that, ST - that's the only tinned soup I like

Oh dear. I had dental surgery when I was at school and I asked for "anything but oxtail" as I was to live on soup for weeks. Our determinedly horrible and chippy catering manager gave me nothing but oxtail. Lost a ton of weight!

That sounds like a grim extraction, Bowd65. Hope you recover quickly. And ST, sounds like a plan for a new diet!

Thanks Mrs Maths, i intend to rest this evening. My hubby is cooking dinner we are having omelettes as they are quite soft. Oxtail soup is one of my Favorite soups ST, but I could see eating it most of the time would make you dislike anything. Thanks Snoop. I ended up having a baked potato with prawns and marie rose sauce at lunch. It was really nice, took me a while to eat it and i left the side salad, but it was a lovely afternoon
