Heather, tell me about your air frier. It’s just me and hubby usually so wouldn’t need a big one. As I work meal times have to be quick, cannot stand around watching a boiling pan. Any info appreciated

I just bought one. I haven't mastered anything fancy yet (eg my fajitas were a disater) but its great for my staples eg fish, veg, heating up pakoras etc. It does steak very nicely. I got a Ninja dual fryer and its more than enough for two. I recommed that you buy some silicon kitchen utensils too.

Yes, defo. no hanging about waiting for the oven to heat up. And a lot easier to clean than the oven.

We call our air fryer Darth (because it resembles Darth Vadar's helmet). Brilliant for crisping the skin on a baked potato. Cook the potato in the microwave, then pop it in Darth for 4-5 minutes; saves 45 minutes in the oven. May the force be with you!

For a weight loss point of view, the food sits on a rack and the oil/fat drips through away from the food so I suppose you may save calories that way.

My partner bought our basic air fryer for about £40 and I thought, oh no, another useless gadget which will take up worktop space! We use it constantly. Well worth the money.
