Note to self--do not use olive oil to make hashbrowns.

I have a bunch of potatoes that I need to use. Dinner is short on veggies but won't be able to eat more. Homemade hashbrowns with onions and a butcher shop made bratwurst.

i spent the past 2 days at my cabin clearing small trees and saplings. Quite a workout hauling them to a pile and just walking with the rocks and branches under the leaves. We will be burning the leaves etc off on the area around the cabin and house site--too much to even think about raking. There has been no one using the cabin for about 10 years soo more than a bit overgrown etc. and it's on a hill in the woods. My SIL and DD were on the fire dept and Terry is the former fire chief so re: a controlled burn they do know what they are doing.

Today is back to work and a rest day especially since the temps have plummeted from 78 yesterday to the high today in the low 30's. not nice to the arthritis.

I've decided to do the cruise in July. Tomorrow back to the gym. That will definitely spur me on. So I am home at least for the next week probably head to the cabin next Friday so will have internet access until then. I need to find my workout record book--it's geared to Genesis but currently only have access to Planet Fitness but it will help.

There's something so gratifying about hard physical work outdoors. Out of curiosity -- what's the problem with making hash browns with olive oil?
