I stepped on the scale this morning and there was absolutely no change. Still 143.2, despite the moving and unpacking from the last week. A dark cloud of disappointment just rolled in and I wanted to cry. My muscles are now only faintly sore, but the bruises on my arms are still yellow, blue and green, reminders of the boxes and furniture that bounced off of them while navigating corners and doorways. All that work, all those calories burned, and no loss.

And then the answer appeared: I swear I was born with a third ovary, or have extra eggs in reserve, because I continue to drop them regularly like a 20 year old.

Will weigh in this weekend, and should see the drop I was expecting today.

dont be disappointed , sometimes we build muscle mass while losing fat . when you weigh it seems as if you had no progress. Try taking body measurements instead

Choo-Choo & 64: Thanks for the words of encouragement! --But there is no way in hell that I will let this weight loss thing take over a year to finish. I'm too determined and impatient. Also, I'm not a stuck-in-a-rut kind of person that will go months without changing things up to get results. If there's no loss by Sunday, I'll add in a hike and take out 200 calories/day.

I've felt that way many a time in this journey. It's not fair we can gain so fast but lose so slow. All I can say is you gotta have faith. It will be a roller coaster with ups and downs but it is typical and normal. Just don't give up because in time you will see that it will slowly and gradually come off. But it will come off if you don't get discouraged and give up! Hugs!

If I eat a heavy meal and weigh myself the next day, it's usually the same but it shows up on the 2nd day.. Same with a loss. Not sure why...

Shoot! But, I bet you feel fitter, and I'll guess you'll see a drop soon. Plus, with all the walking you will be doing to get groceries, you can't help but lose a bit soon! Hang in there!!! 🤗

Its certainly and up and down journey. Never consistent - one day add a bit - next day lose a bit. Keep on working on it. You will succeed.
