I went for a 4 mile hilly walk yesterday, and feel pretty good. The only thing left to do with the new apartment is hang stuff on the walls. I have about 2 days left before the moving bruises are completely faded.

Have been treating myself to mud masks in the mornings while enjoying my coffee as part of self-care. As a treat, around 6 a.m. it rained. (I live in San Diego where it only rains about 3 weeks a year, so I'm always delighted when it does.) Lit a couple of candles, stuck on my gel eyepatch masks, poured a steaming mug of joe, and opened my sliding glass door to get the full visual and auditory effect. So happy.

A main reason to move to this new place was to reduce my stress from the heinous neighbors, and I can 100% say it worked. I sleep through the night now, a full 6 hours of uninterrupted bliss. I don't know if it will help with weight loss, but it sure feels good!

The only thing left for complete joy is to adopt a furry friend and share my home with them 🐾 🏡

I'm glad you are enjoying your new place! Peace is not overrated!!! How exciting to be planning for a little friend to join you! A few years ago we rescued an unwanted kitty. We thought he was a nice cat and would be a good choice. We were so sad and disappointed at first. He was so distant for weeks. He is the number one best cat EVER!!! Dumb as could be, but the sweetest, most loving, wonderful creature! May you find a wonderful companion!

Hi Melissa -- I would love to share my home with a village-idiot kitty. Especially since it's finally getting chilly here, and a furry, purring pet would make the home sweet home. And yes, peace and tranquility are not overrated -- I have spent the last 2 years on edge, unable to relax. Maybe the toxic environment contributed to the 50 pounds that I put on. Hmmmm...

Good sleep and reduced stress will help you achieve your goals. So happy for you. I average 4-4.5 hrs of very crappy sleep every night. Maybe I should move too. 🤔

Glad you are feeling less stress. I did have a horrible, complainy neighbor. So happy when they moved! The best to you in your new digs. Hope you find a furbaby soon. They make a wonderful addition. Maybe check out a shelter?

I am in California too, enjoying the rare gentle rain. San Diego is our go to for spending weekends of usually fishing or just relaxing. One definitely needs cutely companionship, but be careful some cats are very demanding and talkative if you’re looking for peace. Good luck with your furry new creature! 🐱

I'm in Vegas and we finally got alittle rain yesterday as well. It has been 202 days since we last had rain. ☔
