Thanks steelie...........only going to get better now gyms are open! Hey Merry Mel, I am 5 ft 9 so we are quite different builds but we have the same goals. The last few pounds are the hardest to budge and the hardest to keep off! Espcially when you get a wee bit older.

Mel, I am 54. I noticed from about 35 years old I couldn't just eat everything anymore. Then every 5 years since I have had to adjust down. Not fair!

I don’t want to be rude or speak out of term but when a lady gets over 35 years old her metabolism slows down so burning less calories has Anne will tell you and then over 40 comes the change and that’s a all different game changer and it’s the same with men our bodies take on different changes but that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything about it, Anne is a lady in her 50’s and still looks good because she has maintained a healthy relationship with her body yeah she may add the odd pound or two but nothing too drastic because she still looks great as you can see by her photos what I’m trying to say is forget age it’s all about motivation look at a guy in his 20’s trying to build muscle he finds it hard because he can’t put on that extra weight and a guy in his 40’s trying to look like he was in his 20’s trying to lose it you just need to find your own balance X

It is interesting to hear a man's perspective. Motivation, awareness, balance, consistency are key for longterm health and fitness. I suppose we wouldn't be here if we weren't motivated and aware. Find the balance and consistency too then you are onto a winning formula.
