To answer cindyshine's question about one of my photos yesterday: "Pretty sure that Jeff was offering his head to Gavin to play with his hair and Gavin eventually got too tired and zonked out."

I gained a pound and a half! My bf was so sweet about it as always and that is touching but I'm still disappointed for me. I guess the gain shouldn't be a surprise. I did exercise yesterday but I haven't been getting enough sleep. And yesterday was an unbalanced, high cortisol day. I took my friend to the Miami airport and then I had to get my other friend, HDfree (who was riding along) back in time for her doctor's appointment. Navigation in Miami stresses me out-- we finally made it out of there which was my primary goal but then we were on alligator alley until 2pm before some there was finally some food- taco bell specifically! So I think my metabolism got all discombobulated. Tonight we are going to some "Cheeseburger in Paradise" restaurant for a going away party for one of my bf's coworkers. I hope there's something healthy there. Wish me luck. :)

P.S. I think I am eating more because I'm not sleeping enough. Changes to my routine must be implemented asap...

The good thing about a cheeseburger place, is there is usually a decent salad and sometimes a good chicken burger or something! :) I'm sure you'll get through with flying colors! Get lots of water in and eat well, I'm sure you'll be down again in no time!

thanks, bully! I think I did okay at the restaurant. smallboned, both a lack of sleep and general stress can lead to an increase in cortisol in your system, which will make you gain weight. I think its not direct so much as it is that the cortisol makes you hungrier, but I am afraid I don't remember exactly. do you know member sararay? she knows a lot about this. She recommends The Cortisol Connection. I looked through it, too, but the details are escaping me already... sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
