how are you avoiding alcohol????😶😶

Just done 100 days. Amazed at how much more alert I am. Get a week under your belt and it then becomes much easier.

Thank you! I did it for one week but TMR is Friday and Fridays are always drinking nights, I'll try all my best to don't drink TMR

Try non alcoholic replacements. It’s not the same but means you can still go out and not feel too deprived. Watch the calories though!

it's something I rarely have anyway, only on nights out. last month I was taking antibiotics, couldn't drink, and I was surprised how much of a good time I had anyway!

I find that avoiding alcohol all together is extremely difficult so I have resulted to logging 1-2 drinks on days I plan to go out and plan my meals around it.

Alcohol is possibly the main thing that causes my weight gains as after a few drinks I eat anything bad. So the way I have been doing it is strictly no alcohol at home and only go out for a beer once per week and in moderation when I do. I have found it hard at first but once it's your routine it's been pretty bearable. Hope this helps.

I have to be honest I very rarely do if I fancy a drink I count it into my calories it’s not healthy drinking any alcohol but it’s like anything else as long as you count it in it’s fine, I drink Gin and slimline tonic a 35ml of gin and 250ml of tonic is around 100 calories. Life goes on lol

usually would have 4-5 pints after work with the crew but have just been going straight home. when I have had a drink it has been gin and soda which is 56 calories. Remember that your body will prioritise metabolising alcohol first as it is a toxin and whilst it is in your system you will not be metabolising body fat.

I don't drink, smoke, do drugs and very rarely have highly caffeinated beverages. I used to do it all but then I realised I don't need any of these things to make me happy and my main weakness is sugar.

I don’t really drink so I don’t miss it. Maybe at Christmas I’ll have a couple of Baileys but generally it’s not my thing. 😘

As I'm the only driver in the family I tend not to drink alcohol during the year. Counting down to Hogmanay though, champagne chilling and the bottle's all mine 🍾🥂

I'm not! Fevertree light tonic water in my gin is keeping me sane!! Also I'm counting my alcohol calories in to keep myself right.

I’m not🤭especially now rugby season.But I cut it,before I can drink 3-5 pints of guiness.Now only 1,and drink bacardi coke(zero)

I just don’t drink it 😉. Family of drinkers and I don’t like to drink much anyway. I’ll have maybe a 12 pack over a years time and some mixed drinks for special occasions like my birthday. I’d so much rather have a candy bar 😉.

I appreciate for all your comments, it helps a lot. Alcohol is my weakness. I'm trying very hard but it seems like so hard.

I’m just figuring I’d rather have food than booze, at present. This is my first serious attempt since I lost a lot of weight in 2002. I’m enjoying the forensic side of calorie counting via FS app. And, hello!

As long as you burn off more calories then your taking in you’ll lose weight, yes there’s a lot of people that don’t bother with a drink but on the other hand a lot of people like chocolate, sweets & crisps etc.. all bad for you so it’s like anything and everything in moderation because everyone’s got their vices. Try and look at what you drink a long drink with slimline mixers is better. If you try to diet and exercise and give up everything you enjoy your going to get bored very quickly. So if you enjoy a drink just make way for it and as they say be responsible lol
