Considering trying a week without counting calories, as a test to see if I am ready to "eat normal" again.

Good luck. I cannot trust myself at the moment but hope to one day.

As soon as I 'eat normal' again, I will put on weight. I'm currently keeping (trying to!) my calories under 1000 to lose a few for holiday.. I'm currently weighing less than my body wants to, so...

Should have added good luck lol... ease into it gently, you should be fine.

Does 'eat normal' mean 'eat without precise measurements and accept approximate calorie totals whilst listening to body clues' or 'stop caring about whether food is good or bad at the quantity you'll have of it' ? I'll assume that you mean the first interpretation - then sure, no need to be nervous, just estimate calories from memory or even by a quick glance at the packet - and not using scales (but just by a quick volume of portion vs packet quantity method) - and then whenever either of these methods can't apply (such as where packets aren't available) just relax and be happy with a rough estimate based on known content.
