Thanks all, its about a half pound a week if averaged backwards and some of it might rebound (if today's cheesecake breakfast and mince pie snack have anything to do about things) :-)

Cheesecake breakfast. Fabulous idea! However, my cheesecake is a fresh one made with light cottage cheese which is then rather let down by the butter and Digestive base!

StrangeTrout, still that cottage cheese version will have helped. Mine was care of my daughter's home economics lesson so I couldn't even offer lightest cream cheese or any other substitutes as I don't want to be blamed if it didn't taste right or look right! (she can't eat dairy though so I got most of it). I'm really pleased though that I've eaten it one sensible slice at a time (a lifetime first, perhaps)

You're doing very well, ARB 😀 I hope to be doing just sub-maintenance in the new year, so it's good to see how you're doing it 😀😀😀 I'm surprised they didn't have dairy-free alternative recipe for your daughter to make!

Thanks Heidi, they did say if we could find one we could use our own, but the problem was that it needed to be 'with the lemons' and apparently lemons does special things to the other ingredients, so we just didn't find a non-dairy no-bake with lemons online recipe - my other daughter hasn't got any intolerances so we just said ok make this one for your sister and me, some other time we'll do a non-lemon non-dairy recipe at home - which she was fine with doing. (but it was too sweet for my other daughter)re: 'how I'm doing it' its early days, so at the moment there's no planning or experience just basically relaxing the rigidity about what I can eat or when, a little bit of swapping upwards (higher calorie alternatives) instead of swapping downwards, but although I am going with the flow in some regards I've got an idea in my head of the calories I'm letting 'flow' into me, and I'm making sure it is just a flow (sometimes more like a trickle, definitely never a flood.) I don't seem to have been greatly effective at not losing weight either, but I still think I'm practicing some very good and beneficial concepts and methods right now - maybe to be perfected or made more instinctive in future.
