mskestrela's Journal, 19 Oct 16

Well! That's a surprise, after the cracker fiasco. Of course, the fact that I ate almost nothing yesterday, and had a busy-running-around kind of day might have something to do with it. I was so tired, I went to bed at 8:30!
Today didn't go at all as planned...in a good way. New client at work, booked by phone. I should have asked more questions when I booked her, though, because it ended up being a major corrective color instead of the touch-up I booked her for. It screwed up my schedule a little, but the extra $$$ is nice! I was out of work for over a week because of the hurry-cane. As an independent contractor, no work=no pay. Ack!
I get home, and find that some yutz hit my trash wheelie-bin and knocked it into the mailbox, skewing it around sideways and backwards. Busted up the wheelie-bin real good, too. I live on a rural highway, and the idjits around here like to go flying through like there's no speed limit. No curbs, either, so if they're passing they have no problem using the shoulder as extra road.
Tonight, the ex is taking me to a Brazilian steak house on Hilton Head Island. Meat lover's paradise! About as keto-friendly as it gets. I just worry that my reduced capacity for food will mean he pays a lot for very little. Oh, well...I warned him! LOL! Maybe they're generous with "doggie bags".
I have just enough time to feed the cats, freshen up, and put on my glad rags.
Have a great night, FS Buddies!

EDIT
I begged off the dinner date. I'm wiped out, and have a killer headache. Yeah, I know...no food, not enough fluids, not enough salt, yadda yadda. We're going on Sunday, when I'm rested and not feeling like I've had it up to ^^^here with people.

You are on the downhill slide.... And didn't even stop to leave a note and offer to pay for the damage. Sorry 'bout that..

Bummer about the mail box and bin. People are so self centered. Our tomato plants are on the alley side of the fence. We didn't get a single tomato. They were all stolen.

@Warren, not at the Hilton, but on the Island of Hilton Head. Different Hilton, probably. Used to be famous for tennis, now for golf. I tripped, but I didn't fall. ;)

Lol!! Hurricane: no problem. Indescrestionate driver in a rural road.: earthshaking results! I don't mean to laugh at your pain but your journals paint such picture.

@MaineCoon, it wasn't lousy, just challenging. Hair color is my specialty, and I love when I get a chance to stretch my skills. But people wear me the fcuk out! @Lady, I can only surmise what must have happened, but the skid marks on the bin are a pretty good clue. Sorry about your 'maters. My little cherry tomato bush has 2 valiant late bloomers on it. These Indian Summer days may push them to ripen. @HCB, I know I will enjoy it a lot more when I'm not feeling like road-kill. @Barb, yeah, IKR? My wheelie bin was snuggled up to the side of the house for the hurricane. No problem. I put it out by the side of the road, and BAM! I guess it's a good thing that it was emptied before it got whacked! There was some nasty stuff in it. Coming home to a wrecked bin AND smelly a$$ garbage strewn over the landscape would have pushed me into, "aw-hell-no" territory. *See the Southern dictionary for that limit.

Lol! That territory creeps into the Midwest too!
19 Oct 16 by member: bdmgoggins
@Barb, I have a sneaking suspicion that every region has some version of that territory...LOL!

Sometimes rest is better than food...sleep well and you'll be ready to enjoy that dinner this weekend!

Kes, good drop, and I'm glad you're getting your rest and taking care of yourself. Sounds like quite a day. Where my son lives the favorite sport is the mailboxes themselves being hit by baseball bats. It's kids, naturally, and very annoying. Sorry that the idiots damaged your trashcan. Hope you enjoy Sunday dinner.

Well you had a good drop but sorry about the bad head. Hope you feel ok now.
