Windlepoones's Journal, 13 Nov 16

This dammed bug has knocked me for six. I normally sleep for between 5 to 7 hours. When I eventually awoke this morning I was staggered that I had slept for 10 hours straight, but feel much better for it. I had some energy to spare today so was a little more active.

My LCHF diet is still off piste, but until I shake this bug I am not being very strict with my eating regime.

Lulu Lowcarb was feeling the worst for wear today. She appears to have caught my bug, (Will that be a case of Lady Flu). Instead of cooking our main meal today I popped out and grabbed a takeaway for two. For me it was a giant donner kebab and salad. The pitta bread went straight in the bin and so to land fill, the rest of it went to tummy fill.

Note to self: visit doctors and get the results of my latest cholesterol blood test and while I am there get a flu jab.

Thank you for your well wishes, armed with those, a few whiskeys, paracetamol and the suggested home remedies. I’m sure I will be able to kick Mr Bug into touch.

I skipped the gym on Thursday. Apart from feeling so rough it wouldn’t have been fair of me to contaminate the equipment for the other users.

I still managed a few walks, but spent most of my time curled up in the warm with my moggies watching a musical or two.
