Well I am up 3 lbs. But I have been working out more and walking further, so I will hope that this is just a temporary thing. I'm keeping my hopes up. I'd be willing to bet that if I could just kick this soda habit, it would sure help. It was hard this morning when my daughter walked in with a dozen doughnuts. Usually I would have eaten at least 4 or 5 but I only had 1. My goal for this week is to cut down to 1 soda a day. Then hopefully soon I'll be able to stop drinking them. I know that food is an addiction and I accept that I need help.

To help me kick my mt dew habit I started drinking Kroger's key lime sparkling water. I probably drink 2 liters a week of the sparkling water to help curb the urge for soda.

Purple: Good Luck with breaking your soda addiction. over the many years I have licked smoking, tobacco, desserts and others . Sometimes a step at a time and other times go cold turkey. Every one is different.

You will get there. I did a similar thing to you gradually leaning in to it. I was also drinking pop throughout the day and eating a lot of sweets, and then like you reduced it to one pop a day and fewer sweets, then to no pop at home, but only when I went out to eat, to no pop at all (almost never now).

I have tried all the carbonated flavoured waters the ones that say natural flavours. No sweetener or other ingredients. I have found a few I like. I pour them in a big glass. Add water and ice and enjoy it instead of soda. It is definitely not the same but healthier and gives me the feeling of a treat. I have spent a lot of time and mental effort on convincing myself that certain foods are a treat so when I have a craving I reach for a healthy treat. It doesn't always work but most times I sit and enjoy it and avoid the bad stuff. Good luck! I understand the addiction. It is very real!!

sparkling ice water in the Apple flavor is my favorite...I, too had a HUGE soda habit. (I love me some dr pepper..mmmm) I started drinking coke zero because it was the easiest of them all and now i hate that taste and stick to my sparkling water, reg water or crystal light. raspberry ice is the best. you CAN do it. if I could...ANYONE can! 👏❤ good luck!!
