Hi guys, not long back from a short muddy ride on my mountain bike, thought that I would have a change of scenery from roads, cars, buses for trees, mud and trails. It had the desired effect lol it's great hitting a fast downhill where I can get some air and throw my bike around. The kids have been out making some jumps for their BMX's and l was able to string a number of them as l rode the trails. This kind of cycling has a higher fat loss than the road due to having to spin the pedals in the range of 90-120rpm it's definitely feels more like a Hiit session. I checked my stats when I got home and it confirmed my thoughts. 50% of the calories burnt on the ride was fat. On the road it's closer to 28%. I am back out on the road bike tomorrow, Tony wants to do the same route as Sunday (42 miles) Then l will have a few days of the bike and do some gym workouts. I have my weigh in on Friday and I am confident that I will show a loss, how big a loss will depend on how much muscle I have gained compared to how much fat l have burnt. I am excited to find out. The main thing is that I am getting fitter and I know I am losing weight and l have changed my eating habits for the better. Ok guys I hope you are all well and in good health, take care of yourselves bye for now.
