Hey Thomas - did you do the bike ride? I've been walking 30-60 minutes per day. Will keep in touch - looking for people to support and support me in this journey - i'm looking to make permanent changes to what I eat by making my set of recipes healthy and interesting.

Hi guys thanks for the support and encouragement it's really nice, l had a great ride, the weather was just right with light winds. I am so lucky that I live in a beautiful part of the country, l am less than 5 miles from the sea (Redcar) and 10 minutes walk from the country side, the same 10 minutes by car takes me too the Cleveland Hills. Perfect for my trips out on the bike, I do a lot of mountain biking as well but the hills are not huge so after 15-20 minutes grinding to get up them and 2-3 minutes later you are at the bottom it's a great workout. I had a period of time where I got lazy and ate and drank too much, the end result was l went from 89 kg up to 112 kg which is the most l have ever weighed. I woke up one morning and decided that I can't keep doing this, l felt bad that I had let myself get into this state, nothing fitted me anymore, I was living in tracksuit bottoms and XXL tee shirts and I can tell you it's not a good look lol that was a few months ago and I am doing well, my weight is dropping nicely (106kg at moment) l have set my first goal at 100kg and once I achieve that I will be looking at dropping down to 90kg. I am back out on my bike and I am going to the gym. I am leading a much better lifestyle than before. I still have a problem with my food intake, l don't eat enough l am told, that's where your comment about SW and how much you can eat and still loose weight was of interest to me, l am going to join a few SW groups and see if l can get a few pointers. As for using each other's experiences and failures to help us achieve our goals l am all for that, the more the merrier l say. I look forward to seeing how you progress and wish you well. Contact me anytime even if it's just for a chat.
