Adpully's Journal, 22 Aug 17

Yesterday was a relaxing day I didn't go out- Did a little tiding up and considered how I was going to maintain my exercise levels during the winter. Going for a walk starting 6AM or after 3PM is not going to be possible. I of course will be able to walk and run during the day but I think I will need something extra like 1/2 hour a day finding some sheltered exercise plan. I phoned the local gym £77 PCM for a joint membership -That's poor value. My thoughts are currently setting up a place where I can do some Tabata exercising at home and perhaps buy a exercise treadmill a mat and a wall mounted 40" TV then move things around in my man cave. I will have to do some costings. Yesterday i also worked on my physical flexibility and practiced touching my toes - I can only get within 125mm of the floor. Also worked on Third world squats again.

I watched the eclipse on TV yesterday it was really magical -That is a bucket list item for me.

Today we plan to go out for the day to the seaside if OH is up early -Probably near Southampton.

All of you have a great day

Groupon is discounting annual tickets to Portsmouth Historic Dockyards if that's your thing - £17.33 for an adult. We got them a couple of years ago and went a twice so it worked out quite well on cost per visit. We went around the HMS Victory one day and the Marie Rose exhibition while they were still restoring her another. Of course you have to be interested in naval history for it to be worth while but for us it definitely was. Good luck sorting out the man-cave for winter exercise. Have fun!

Try the plank programme time is minimal but rewards are maximum. Ideal for winter just Google it.

Phooka Cheers - Missed your message Portsmouth docks sounds good I will keep that in mind for next time. As it was we went to Lepe Country park and did a six mile walk. Then had burger and chips. Path thanks for the info on the plank - Just tried it and I managed to do one ( I have a poorly arm) without excessive pain so it sounds perfect.

The other popular thing in the States in the winter when it is dark and cold early is mall walking. Our malls are open after work and you can get some steps in when the weather is bad.

Thanks for the idea but in my area and generally in the UK large enclosed malls are quite rare.
