Adpully's Journal, 10 May 17

Before I have recovered from my last meal out I ended up with eating a Chinese meal last night (wifes birthday)
Prawns , water chestnuts and bamboo shoots was the least carbs thing I could find. I cherry picked from it and left a lot.
Fortunately I have still managed to loose a little and now back down to my lowest weight again.

Continued pressure as today I am eating out again, lunch with my Mum - Hopefully there will be a chicken/fish salad option!
Other news the estate agent visited yesterday and our house will soon be on the market. Right now I am just off to pick up a large load of plywood offcuts to make some packing boxes a 150mile round trip to Hinkley

Nice drop! You're doing really well despite the temptations of eating out and takeaways. I know you're planning on moving nearer the sea but whereabouts specifically?

Do you take your own dressing? I do. I sometimes get fumy looks when I bring out my little jam jar but I was shocked at how much sugar can be in ready made dressing.

We are hoping to move to either Northumbria or Norfolk but are pretty flexible. The plan is to sell first, then rent somewhere short term to shorten the selling and buying chain. Up to now - I have not had too many social life diet conflicts as the eating events I have were spaced well apart. But I now have a week with four meals out. Followed up this month with two more bashes. The frustration is that the semi forced additional carbs really do increase hunger pangs that takes a day or two to subside. I will try not to be too miserable when eating out this month but I will struggle.

You`re welcome. It saves me from hidden carbs and helps me stay in control. My "go to" is 30 ml groundnut oil, 10 ml white wine vinegar and 1 tsp of wholegrain mustard, lovely and zingy on chicken.

Well done on the loss. I've got a close teaching friend who lives in Hinkley. Funny thing is I had a real vivid dream about her last night. Can I ask...why are you moving Adp? Have a good day

I love Northumbria - Diving at the Farnes is one of my perfect memories. Seals, puffins, dolphins and minke whales plus wonderful food in the Ship Inn at Seahouses. Since you like gardening, I'll not go with my other idea for by the sea: West coast of Scotland. Amazingly beautiful but the midges eat you alive!
