northernmusician's Journal, 06 Jan 17

Happy at the beginning of this, after 3 days (far too early to expect losses while keeping carbs to a large degree) I am on track. That is, I am lifting far more consistently, my calories are on target, and since I'm eating better stuff (chocolates at Christmas suck, I love them!) my stomach feels good again and my body is getting what it needs. Note for next year... "I'll just have one" means you're easing into eating crap and CUT IT OUT!

For those who might be tempted to say that I need to cut carbs and just be more diligent at this point... you don't know how OCD (or CDO) I can get over this, and I will yet. My buddies know this, and I know they're behind me. Moving forward is moving forward, even if it simply means standing your ground instead of sliding backwards.

Have a good one people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0fOoyiIq7M

I can totally understand this way of thinking NM- not sliding backwards is a major accomplishment while trying to detox off sugar :)

Agreed Bruce...sometimes not gaining is a big win....also sometimes the scale doesn't move and the fat is melting away. Glad to "see" you back in action!!

Had similar thoughts this morning...scale hasn't moved all week and while a bit disheartened, I thought...it hasn't gone up so I am a winner.
