Being a bit too tempted by Christmas treats. Walnut whips yesterday mean weight has gone up a bit. They also gave me arthritis and fibromyalgia, as I was out without my lactase enzyme tablets. I'm OK with having some nice things to eat at Christmas, but need to try and make sure my weight stays below 10 stone.

Noticed Phooka is mentioning mini-targets and I think that is something I have been doing wrong. If I'm 140.5 lbs now, this means I should have a mini target of losing 2.5 lbs and being back in the right direction in seven days time. So by next Sunday I want to be weighing 138 lbs.
63.7 kg Lost so far: 1.6 kg.    Still to go: 1.1 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Thanks for the callout 🙂 Not managing to lose 2lb in a week or fortnight is much easier to bear and adjust for than not losing 7lb in a month. I'm not suggesting ignoring your targets though, I'm saying we're all human and failing sometimes is a part of that. So set smaller targets and shorter timescales so you can refresh regularly. I'm still drooling at the idea of Walnut Whips though - did they really do dark chocolate with coffee filling or is it my imagination? 🤔

Think the target idea is very good and I'm going to try setting one most weeks, but not Christmas. That would be a step too far! As far as the walnut whips are concerned - yest they were delicious. I did have a look this morning to see if I could make my own marshmallow and do it with some healthier ingredients. They do have some recipes on YouTube and apparently it's made with gelatine and something sweet like maple syrup heated and whisked up then put on a foil lined oven tray and cut into pieces. Think they do make coffee flavoured walnut whips - I really like the standard vanilla ones with a walnut on top. No wonder I'm not losing much weight - I like chocolate and crisps too much.

Yep I'm going for a mini target Judy. I need it just before Xmas. All the best with yours Be careful with the marshmallows. They are fluffy treats , funny, looking things if you ask me 🍡🍡🍡

I've looked up recipes. I'm not sure I'm that desperate to eat a Walnut Whip again that I'll make my own 😄
