If you are building muscle, it weighs more. Not a bad thing. :)

Are you drinking water? Also, are you getting enough protein? These are things to check with a nutritionist. Good luck, it's a lot of work!

Research Intermittent Fasting. I hit the same plateau and have started to lose again myself using that method of eating. It didn't take long. Other things to consider: 1. Water Weight 2. Drop your calories 200-300 kcal to get your body losing again. Our bodies adapt as we lose weight.

Doing low carbs, eating protein drinking water. Male 236 lbs eating 1500 to 1600 cal a day. Best weight loss in 1 lb a week. Tried intermittent fasting. This weight loss really sucks. Thinking of staying with the weight workout and just screw the diet bs.

Sometimes a different exercise, a brisk one hour walk or longer, can get body to burn fat again. Plateaus seems to be normal but they do drop suddenly if you continue to eat less than you burn. An ironic note, exercise builds muscle, which is heavier than fat, but it's worth it because muscles burn more calories as well as aiding heart action etc. How is the tape measurement going down? Sometimes we are losing inches if not pounds.

sedentary2 I agree with you on this...I can honestly say that I have been losing inches but not much weight...I have decided to do measurements instead of the scale because that scale can honestly be mean. Rm686 how tall are you?

Do you track everything you eat? How many carbs? Protein? Fat? I've always heard you can't outrun (out exercise) a bad diet.....

Muscle maybe? How do your clothes fit?

I always weigh and measure when I start a healthy eating plan. That way when the scale fails to move, and can still check results. Inches lost is AMAZING!

I see that you are not using the tracking functions on this site. Tracking has been super helpful to me. I suggest, if you are not tracking elsewhere, that you start recording everything you eat and all your activities. Very helpful1

Check out Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) aka Ketogenic diet.... Contrary to what the AMA has been telling us for the last 40-50 years, fat is NECESSARY in our diets. The fats help you feel satiated so you don't snack on empty calories. Read up on the LCHF and then try it. I switched to eating this way over a year ago and rarely exercise yet have lost 60 pounds! Higher fat diets also help reverse Type 2 Diabetes, relieve inflammation/joint pain and level out your cholesterol!!!
