One more day and off we go to meet the new addition. Pretty psyched.
Foods will not be logged on the trip. I'll simply watch the carb intake. That should keep it in check until I get back to settle into the routine again. Sure, there will be the odd blowout meal, but it won't amount to much over all.
Thoughts for a gift for a first grandson? Must be memorable.

Plant a tree. Something that will grow throughout the child's life. A copper beech; a Japanese Maple, a white oak? That to me is a meaningful marker of a new life!

Ask Mom or Dad...they'll usually have something they would like to have for baby but are deferring...not very sentimemtal I know, but sometimes very appreciated.

Record a Lullaby CD. I did that for someone and they played it all the time. I guess there isn't enough time for that. OK, get its FIRST TEDDY BEAR that will one day go to college with them!
