Interesting to watch the caliper measurements stay relatively static while the weight rises and falls with the carb loading. It also makes it quite clear the the swings in weight are just from glycogen/water relationships with the carbs. I find it far less concerning to be able to predict the rise and fall rather than seeing the random fluctuations of a static diet.

Thanks, Bill. Pretty sure last Friday's weigh in was an anomaly. I'm not concerned. I seem to have control of the trend.

I would say yes. There are a couple of things. Calipers aren't moving much, but I'm not in a hurry. Weight is quite stable over all. I don't think any one measurement, caliper or weight are that indicative of what's going on. I am doing what I call a 'grip test'. Okay, it's not extremely scientific, but when I was struggling with the loss I could easily fill my hnad with fat on the abdomen and have some overflow. Now it doesn't hit my palm so there is definite movement. I can also now quite easily find the central divide of the abdominal mass. It's also a matter of the visual. I really enjoy the cycling. It's technically cycling carbs, but with that automatically goes calorie cycling. I'm not keeping it as tight as I could with the carb load. I could watch the fats more and reduce sugar intake, but I also look at the high carb days as a way of getting in the things I crave without feeling guilt. I'm a lifer with CICO and I could easily see carb cycling being a huge goto.

I think carb loading is what I did yesterday. Is there any benefit to it when you DON'T work out?
