Place holder weight. No weighing until Wednesday. I hate, hate, hate it! I'm stuck. I've tried, and now... I have to deload. I've been feeling completely drained. A muscle in my neck is giving me grief and half the time I feel like I'm getting a col When I go low calorie, I feel positively ill. Lifting has stalled. I've had two low volume days and they both sucked. I will count those as two deload days. No lifting now until Wednesday. 2500 calories per day until then. That should be maintenance without exercise for me.

This is going to be brutal, but I think my cns has bailed on me and I just need the down time. Maybe a nice walk with the dog. Oh, and 22 push ups a day when the time comes with a thought for each person with each repetition... slowly... with resolve... with a touch of anger... and with respect for the fallen and those who are being dishonoured in spite of their contribution.

Take some short time off to regroup. Doesn't mean you have to have out at mickey dees to regather your thoughts - but just take some time and settle down to a point where you can think clearly again - and then start up again. Perhaps tweak somethings. In sports they say, "make adjustments at halftime". In music, we stop and re-tune the guitar every so often.

Come on Bruce.. you got this! <<shaking shoulders and a little slap in the face>> Come here to vent, go for a walk with the pup, then get back on it. Work your system. We're here for ya, buddy.

LOL! @ImLaura - such brutality! She has a good point. Take the dog for a walk ... and enjoy the day. Stress isn't going to make anything better. De-stress instead of de-load. (I don't even know what that means). You don't feel good. So make yourself happy again and look back at all of this and make a new plan.

LOL! That's a crackup! We are just grown up babies, anyway. I agree with your dishonored quip, the country's greatest injustice, when Presidents and Congress choose wars within the context of supporting the military companies and complex. It is always about profit.

It's a real pain. I don't want to quit lifting, but my body seems to know. When CNS has had it then there's nothing you can do but give it a rest. The muscles simply won't perform properly without cns support.

You have to listen to your body. It might not be telling you want you want to hear, but sometimes, sheer force of will is not enough to overcome it when your body has its own plan. You will be back at it in no time.
