I'm unsatisfied. I think it's necessary for forward motion. 'Goal' should change: Desire should not change. It reminds me of that saying "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty". I have a love hate relationship with my body. I love it: It hates me. I want it lean. I want it healthy. I want it to be better every day until there is no way of getting it healthier. At that point I want to hold it back. Keep it as strong as possible until I have to give it up and I'm on my way. I will fight, and that fight must take place every day. I will not surrender it to something as simple as random acts of gastronomic catastrophe. I will be mindful of what I eat, even when it's wrong.

I like your final statement. I will be mindful of what I eat even when it's wrong. I totally agree. Is a slice of pie wrong? Not if it's what you want...But if you want to be thin and fit, then maybe not. I struggle because I had eating disorders, but lately, I eat more mindfully and am more satisfied and am not really terrified by the number on the scale because I am happy and satisfied. there has got to be a balance...so difficult to achieve...still trying.
