Darkazana's Journal, 09 Nov 15

Well last recording for the 15 for 12 walking challenge, and the penultimate Sassie weekly recording. Definitely a time for endings I think. Just got home from Sandringham last night, after 10 months working away a well earned rest beckons, but not until after next weekends wedding of daughter, followed by a couple of weeks extensive decorating, so should get plenty of exercise in. Added to this was the news that our 10th grandchild is on the way, due next July :)

It doesn't sound like you'll be getting any rest at all to me! Good luck with daughter's wedding, hope the weather is kind, and that you have a lovely day 😀 10th grandchild? My goodness! And congratulations! How many sons and daughters do you have? Do they live near you?

Thanks Heidi, we have 6 daughters between us, 3 each. I once worked out that if all our girls have 3 children each we could end up sitting down to Christmas dinner with over 30 round the table!!!!! Our daughters are spread far and wide. One is in Singapore, two in Somerset, one in Oxford, one in Nottingham and one just up the road from us at RAF Scampton, so a Christmas reunion of all would probably be amiracle!!!! :)

Hope they can all make it to the wedding? My dad was one of 12, mostly living in same area, and the family sometimes used to hire a coach for outings! When my dad died, in Nottingham (that's where I grew up), the ones that were still alive came up in a minibus. They had done the same for my uncle Alec's funeral, and told me a story about how the driver had got lost on the way, so they were late. They thought this was hilarious! Sadly only 3 of the younger ones are left now, all in their 80s.

Congratulations on your news about 10th granchild! Not only would it a crowd around the table at Christmas but also expensive if you buy them all presents :) Hope the wedding goes according to plan and that you all have a great time.
