JockoT's Journal, 23 Oct 15

Sitting here in abject despair. No weight loss whatsoever this week. And me desperate to get into the 16's. I know the beginning of the week was difficult, but this coming week will be no easier. My wife is on holiday and I always find it difficult when she is at home. Add to that the odd bar lunch and an anniversary bottle of bubbly and I am on to a hiding to nothing. Well at least I didn't go up.
108.0 kg Lost so far: 20.4 kg.    Still to go: 12.7 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Hey JockoT good morning, now have a serious word with yourself you have been on this journey for 5 months and for all of that time including today's weigh in you have only maintained once, now that is pretty impressive and deserves some recognition, you are doing so well and like you said, wasn't the best start to the week but you still maintained which is fantastic. As we have a lot of weight to lose there will come a time where we stick to plan but just plateau for a bit, if it was me, i think i would stick to plan as much as is possible and given that you will have another tricky week, prepare for a gain, sometimes it would be good to mix things up a bit as your body just gets used to what your doing, you could maybe cut back on one day, (not too much tho) to try and kickstart your metabolism again or maybe go for a walk, i don't know whether you exercise at all? or maybe even if you even just upped your fluid intake. Stick with it your doing so well, i would be very proud of myself if i lose 45lb like you, you can and will do it, oh and strictly come dancing this week, plan ahead for your treats you like whilst watching it and stick to them, gosh i sound like your mum lol, have a lovely weekend x

Thanks Jo. We started back to our dancing this week, after a couple of weeks break, and this coming week we will have two days of dancing. I had quite a bit of walking in the week just passed, but the weather here is the controlling factor. I try and restrict my intake to 1500 calories on a Wednesday and Thursday and 1700 calories the other days. My RDI on this site and NHS Choices is 2200. It is just that after a bad weigh in, another seven days to the next one seems a long time!
