DOMS...I had to google that one. I'm envious that you are already experiencing Fall weather. Fall and Spring are my favorite times of year. No heat, no AC needed, just good fresh air. Feel better buddy!

We have two seasons here actually. Winter and sppprrraaaawwwwllll!!!!

Hmmmm! What do I say to that, except maybe, do you have a snugglely (made up word) blanket? Snow fascinates me, I don't get to experience it much. I like to take a walk at night when the snow is gently falling down and look up toward the street light. It makes me feel like I'm inside a snow globe. When you say sppprrraaaawwwwllll, that must be why so many Canadians come to Myrtle Beach for what is called Canadian Days/maybe weeks. There are special preformances given by the local shows~Carolina Oprey,I live less than 5 minutes from there, One-The Show @ The Alabama Theateretc. When Mark was in high school he and his best friend Lucas were chosen by their band director to play clarinet with the Army Show Band. That show was one of the special Canadian Shows, but I don't remember where I took them. What exactly is sprawl? Heavy wind driven rain?

New to this group. Want to track my weight loss. Aiming for 40-50 lb loss which will still be about 25 lbs more than I weighed when I started college 46 years ago! Today I made some delicious lentil soup with fresh chicken broth and onion and seasonings (only a little salt). Amazingly few calories and a good bit of protein and not much fat for something to taste so good. Also bought a juicer. Surprisingly, the juice was really good- but it is not filling.

I am also new to the group and trying for a 45 lb. loss.....very hard, but I plan to stick with it.

Me too, had to look up DOMS. Haven't tried looking up sppprrraaaawwwwllll yet. Lol. I looked up Myrtle Beach, though, that looks nice! You get snow there?!

The other way people describe sprawl is 6 months of winter and 6 months of poor sledding (spr)ing - f(all).... sprawl.

Hey, joi and Salliroo, feel free to send a buddy request. btw, my advice is weigh everything on a food scale that can be weighed. I was amazed at the difference between what I was eating and what I thought I was eating.

@ heidij. Myrtle Beach is nice, but it's a small town really. When the tourist leave there's nothing much to do but avoid the gossip arrows. Yes, we do get a little snow. All it takes is 12 flakes and every loaf of bread and jug of water is gone. Looks like the grocery store has been hit with locust! These folks do not know how to drive in snow. Just because they have tires taller than me doesn't mean that makes up for driving skill. I'm not so sure my own snow driving would be so good now. I mean I know how to and have experience, but of late not a lot of need. I can walk to the shopping center in 5 minutes and if I cut through a neighbor's yard I can be there in 2.

Maybe we should swap houses for a winter Glen?

That's why I live in two places. Spain is to hot in summer, England is too cold and grey in winter. We migrate to get the best of the weather, and we like the change of scene, and having two sets of friends and two lots of activities. Each feeds into the other. It's nice!

I can't stand the cold! We have all 4 seasons here in Memphis, but summers are very humid and winters are very wet. We mostly get ice storms, maybe one or two good snows per year. I would rather live in Florida with my parents, I love the heat!

Yeah, I hate it when it gets cold too. -20 C and below starts to get a bit edgy.

@Salliroo You have found a great group of people. They will hold your hand, offer advice and support, and listen to you if you need to vent. Welcome

@Glen Am I remembering a picture from months ago of your car's temp. guage showing upwards of 110 degrees? So now it's summer? I am confused. It's very hot and humid most of the time in SC, but nothing like the west coast of Florida. I lived there-twice,obviously there is somethin' wrong with me. Neighbors swiggin' beer while they strung lights on their palm trees, wearing flip flops to shop, I felt like I was in a foreign land.
