Contacted my GP practice today as everywhere online says my weight loss is too fast 🙄. I can't see that losing 4.4lb in 10 days is too fast , so I've asked for advice. I found during lockdown that I needed to ear no more than 1200 kcals daily or I didn't lose weight. So I did the same this time too, weights going down and I'm chuffed, but I'm concerned now that it's too speedy, the issue is, if its any slower will I feel motivated enough? I think I'm doing it well. I eat everything I did previously, I just don't snack or eat large meals.... what's the problem huh? So let's see what the GP says..... Hopefully all will be OK to carry on as I am 🫣
77.8 kg Lost so far: 2.0 kg.    Still to go: 14.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

agree here, definitely no harm in checking, but if you're actively trying to lose weight that's surely good? hope all goes well with gp

I wouldn't be too concerned either. Quite normal to see a significant drop in first week or so. Well done !👍

GPs aren’t nutritionist specialists sadly. Many will know less about macronutrients than people on this app. Unless you’re wanting to be referred, not sure what you’re expecting them to do or say

I agree with Maria… it’s the big starting drop. I wouldn’t worry at all (or expect it to continue at the same rate, sadly!)

Your first week is usually water loss alongside adipose from less salt and glycogen in your system ( not to mention previous food passing through the gut ) so dont be alarmed ( i lost 5 lb in the last week after taking a week break from dieting and re starting ). even thereafter maximum fat loss can be calculated at approximately 31 -35 kcals per lb of bodyfat. But for the equation to work you really need an accurate bodyfat measurement ( Not BIA ) . And someone to calculate it for you . Id be happy to if you want to get your bodyfat measured .All the best

Ditto here My first week or two of a diet patch is often 2X normal loss rate.
