Bubbles McBubble's Journal, 02 Jun 23

well, here's the see saw I was waiting for. After 4 days of the bot, I have done something and my guts are ... currently stable.

last night I went shopping. I bought mandarins, I bought kiwifruit, I bought vogels bread. all carbs. I was willing to do anything to make the tummy bug go. I have eaten everything now, not currently nauseous which is a boon.

Man, winter. What can I say. humans were never meant to work all winter. We were meant to crawl into our cave, cover ourselves in furs, and snooze the dark months away. Come out stinkin, blinkin in the light... in springtime when we felt like moving again.

I don't think civilisation has done a lot for man. we live longer, sure. but is it really living?

Oh bubbs. Get back to it. 5 lbs to 80’s. Let’s go up and at ‘em. Hubs asked me the other day if i was interested in going to New Zealand. I am. Looks pretty. Been to Fiji and loved that but did NOT love the giant spider in our bure. Took, get this, SEVEN men to get it down from the 22’ wood ceiling because apparently in your part of the world they are good luck. In my part of the world they are just scary. This thing was the size of a dinner plate. They made the youngest go up the ladder where he GENTLY nudged this monster till he fell to the ground and at that he survived the fall. Only scary thing to me about that trip. Can you post a pic of winter in New Zealand at some point. As you probably know we are just starting to get into summer here in Washington state, USA. Anyway, back to business. 5 lbs love. Let’s go. Im on the 5b lb train also. And then another 5 lbs to finish line.🥰. Xoxoxo

I dunno YOH I just had a moccacino. I haven't had a moccacino in six months. I even said yes to the marshmallows. :D I had a mandarin this morning already. It was sweet and juicy and delicious. I was going to make myself poached eggs on toast for brekkie but didn't get out of bed in time... I'm going to give myself the long weekend to eat all these carby foods, go into diabetic coma, and then back in the game on Tuesday. I cannot tell you how wiped out I am from four days of raging gutrot. I was sleeping 10 - 14 hr days... coming home from work, in bed by six... get back up go back to work for another round of hell. I went home early on Monday and again on Wednesday because I couldn't tolerate the nausea. I am clawing my way through this last day and then it's a long weekend... I need to invite the fam over to eat up all the vogels bread and icecream I bought. oh man. when I fall off the wagon, I fall hard... Tuesday. Back in the game Tuesday. As to Fiji: never go back. Go to rarotonga. Oh my goodness. You couldn't pay me to go to fiji. Well, to be fair you could... but I wouldn't pay you that's for sure. Go to rarotonga next time. And if you're coming to New Zealand, hmu as I will have an itinerary of places you have to see. :D Most of them in the south island. Our biggest spider is the tunnel web, it hides (very shy) in woodpiles, isn't poisonous and plays dead if you so much as look at it. I've only ever seen them in Wellington. Nothing in New Zealand is poisonous except the katipo spider which if it bites you will make you throw up. No snakes at all, no large predators, nothin. Not as lush and green as the warmer islands, but still gorgeous. Milford sounds is gobsmackingly gorgeous. Down south it snows in NZ in winter, here in Wellington (bottom of north island) it's barely even cold, just really wet. We're having another el nino so warm, wet, rainy as anything. the bugs in the gardens will be insane next year.
