Bubbles McBubble's Journal, 01 Jun 23

I've had diarrhoea since Monday (it's Thursday here). not just any diarrhoea. What they call 'sh!tting through the eye of a needle at 1000 paces' diarrhoea.

Stomach cramps, blocked ears, going to work, not sure what I'm doing all day. Had payroll on Mon & Tues, now I've got financial reporting and preparation of invoicing for one of our programmes.

I'm eating everything. Yesterday I had 2 huge glasses of orange juice, went home early, was in bed by 3 - got up this morning, went to work. Sitting there in prayers, need to go to the loo (don't dare). blocked ear. Headache. Everyone else is praying for a good day and I'm praying for a long needle to be inserted into the back of my head to pop the pain at the back of my skull.

The beloved has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He showed me a picture after their cystoscopy - he has a little tree growing in there. It's adorable. They're taking it out on about 8 July, I told him he has to get them to put it in formaldehyde and give it to my daughter, she can make a little diorama. Make little people and add a little swing or something. She's really good with tiny modelling... Would be hilarious.

We used to do water gardens at lamb and calf day, which is an annual event here in the country where kiddies bring their calves and see if the calf will obey (heh) or lambs. or cats or whatever. A kind of gala you might call it? And there would be competitions for best vegetable animal (chopped up veges, toothpicks, you made a creature), flower bouquets, and underwater 'gardens.' We would have bluetak or something on the lid of a jar, make an arrangement, and then put it into the jar which was filled with water, sometimes coloured, and that would be our water garden. So anyway I think the darling daughter could knock something up for Steve with his little cauliflower and formaldehyde... ideas?

But meanwhile I'm having an incredibly low mood day and I want to go back to bed. after eating everything I can find, in the hope it will sort my guts out.

Bubbles, I just want you to know that I am a big fan of the Wellington International Ukelele Orchestra and Flight of the Conchords. I can't even think about New Zealand without thinkiing about Bret and Jemaine. 💕

Oh Janie... my favourite flight of the conchords song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pie4igBlgww business time. just amazing. I have a special room in my erp dungeon for Bret. Not that I would ever say that on a public forum. LOL. @suzelite thanks, I just ate a meat pie, and drank a probiotic drink. i realised I'd been on antibiotics so maybe had killed my gut flora. Now I've eaten a pixie caramel and drunk an entire drink of feijoa. We are having a shared lunch today and the boss is buying pizza. I am going to eat all of the pizza. stuff it. my day off. :D

I just told them in the lunch room that me and keto are on a break. :D then I ate 3 pieces of pizza. Now I feel even sicker but... at some point I'll get enough food into me that it'll all balance out. The probiotic drinks freak me out, they break every rule I ever had about drinking/eating safe food. DELIBERATELY INNOCULATED WITH BACTERIA and here I am, willingly drinking it. I have to choke it down, I am so repulsed, even if it tastes good that's not the point!!! ugh. Hoping it will fix me.

Bubbles what a bunch of not wonderful stuff all at once! Is the beloved the man figure you reference sometimes? Super hope that all goes well. A firehose coming out of the bum sounds powerful. Maybe you could use that to put out fires while it lasts😜 Yeesh. Hope you get better soon. Drink plenty of fluids you dont need to get dehydrated darlin.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. That is a whole lot of awfulness converging at once. The bladder jar diorama sounds hilarious, glad you can find some humor. Sometimes you gotta laugh so you don't cry, that's what my mom says!

If you think the bladder cancer diorama is funny you wait till you hear what my daughter has planned for my ashes when I'm dead. (Yes. Planned. Currently I'm worth more to her alive than dead and I'm hoping to stay that way!) Spinning straw into gold, that's the thing. Tonight I am going supermarket shopping and I will buy all the healthy fuds, olives, cheese, sour pickles, some more godawful gut bacteria products. One day to go and then we have a long weekend for King's birthday (still feels weird to say that. We didn't even get a public holiday for his coronation. Rude!) I have the dry horrors, dying of thirst, and I'm frightened that my 86.4 will disappear when I manage to rehydrate. sob.
