WHEEEEEE!

LE SUGAR.

oops. :D

My darling ladle blister came for dinner last night. She's over from Aussie. My daughter came over too.

So... we had KFC and netflix movies and a bottle of wine and I don't regret a SECOND of it.

I ate that chicken and downed that chocolate mousse like it was my last meal.

My sister is over from Aussie once or twice a year. My beautiful baby sister.

I absolutely don't believe in food as a moral issue. Sometimes you take the hit. Take the hit? It was a KFC chocolate mousse. It was hardly suffering. ;) And I ate the dodgy fat filled crumb off the outside of the chicken. I would happily bin the chicken and just eat the skin... omg delicious.

And now? Nothing to see here... moving right along....

It's probably fluid from the extra sodium. 🤔

Thanks Janie - I'm going to totally go with that explanation. makes sense. YOH ladle blister is my family's word for little sister. It comes from a joke story called Ace Tory by A Minnie Mouse, nonsense but not nonsense, an entire story made up of malaprops. "Wants pawn term, dare wuss a ladle gull, wetter ladle rat hut, hoe lift inner cordage honour itch offer lodge, dock florist. Disk ladle gull orphan worry ladle cluck, wetter putty ladle rat hut, end fur disk raisin pimple colder "ladle rat rotten hut". It tickled our fancy as kids, and we learned it by heart, and have malapropped with gay abandon ever since. :)

Hey Supergains: I fry everything in fat. Do the friends you know who had heart attacks smoke by any chance? Or have diabetes? They're reviewing the understanding of what'll give you a heart attack. Nixon smoked 3 packs a day or something. And the whole false investigation into the correlation between eating fat and having heart attacks sprang from that. He had a heart attack, he wanted to know why. It's called the sugar myth nowadays and was debunked maybe 10 yrs ago ish. It's worth looking into it. Frying is fine. Fat is fine so long as it's natural fats your ancestors would have had available.

Now THIS is how you do a cheat day! Gonna start mine off right with a big ol' bowl of ramen, followed by a little trip to Golden Corral. For people who don't know... it's a buffet. And of course I'll try to get pics too. lol

How old are you mcbubbles? And how often do you eat fried foods? Yes they were smokers. The thing about it is transfat. That fat under high temps turn into. I also love fried foods, I use to eat it often. Fried anything is delicious! But I feel heart pains after I consume a large amount, could be in my head also 😂

Hi Supergainz: you may be having gall stones, that feels like a heart attack after eating a lot of fat. Basically if you are low fat the bile in your gall bladder doesn't get used up so it becomes a supersaturated solution, which precipitates into crystals just like the copper sulphate experiment in the fourth form at high school... There is medication you can take that will dissolve gallstones but it's not typically given because it's expected that the gallstones will come back. This is because of the low fat diet they tell you to go on. I found a scholarly article from a british university online a long time ago when I was investigating the instruction by my doctor to get rid of my gallbladder: it appears that of all the people in some experiment, those who did not have gallstones at the start of this fat free diet had them by the end. The target group; four fs. Fair, Fat, Female and Forty. Highest risk of gallstones. As to fat, I fry in olive oil or in animal fat. Fat is very good for you and ensures your bile doesn't superconcentrate; I think I've passed most of my gallstones now, they are nothing like the problem they were when I was eating stirfries and chicken breast and rice full time. But I agree, trans fat, or reheated vegetable oils, grain/seed oils - bad bad bad. Just what they had access to 500 yrs ago. Eat that, and you're fine. And that means natural fats and oils from animals and from olives, or coconut oil is also fine.

Thanks for the reply mcbubbles! But I don’t have problems eating fat, just deep fried. My proteins in my bulk phase are pretty fatty cuz they taste better.... 😂
