126.7 lbs. 😃 The extra walking appears to be working, along with several soup dinners this week. Guess they’re lower in calories than I thought, and I don’t eat them with crackers or bread.

Measured the waistline: 28.5”
Goal on that is 26”
57.5 kg Lost so far: 20.0 kg.    Still to go: 5.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 1.6 kg a Week

Great!

Thanks Cindy and Morticia!! The soups were vegetable broth based, with beans and various veggies— no rice or pasta to weigh them down. Will definitely make a couple more pots of them this weekend 😋

JB ~ what kinda soup you had? Sounds tempting

Homemade, @Matt, always homemade so I can control the salt and use up all the odds & ends in the crisper. One had black beans, tomatoes and corn, the other was white beans with spinach and artichoke.

Alright ~ Good for you ! I typically eat unhealthy noodle soup & that needs to change quick. Thanks

I'm a big fan of soups myself. A lot of bean soup in this house. Sounds tasty!

I wish I could manage your strategy, @justbananas🙄. I find I can do the light breakfast or the light lunch but I really enjoy my dinner. That’s where a fair part of my calories go

Damn when you break a plateau you don’t take any prisoners!

@Matt: Are your soups homemade? It’s usually the sodium in store bought ones that trip people up, along with the bread and crackers they insist on using.

@Russell: Was kind of surprised myself with the loss this morning, what with 2 other drops this week already. But I just FELT thinner. Been sleeping well, too, so I’m just going to keep the hot soup for dinner and morning walks until I stall again.

JB ~ Yup homemade noodle soup Oriental touch ~ lotsa spices & 'allegedly" burns fat..but you know I'm still gaining a few pounds here and there.. Life is UNFAIR ! :D

@Magu: Dinners are usually my heaviest of the day, too, but I find hot liquids to be the most comforting and easiest thing on cold weeknights. Still, CICO is always the rule. I only eat 1-2 pieces of fruit for breakfast and about 200-300 calories of fresh or roasted veggies for lunch, so I have a lot of leeway for supper. @Anne: I've never made tomato soup, but I'm loving the idea. That one will need a side dish, as it's a rather plain and simple soup. When I was vegetarian, a grilled cheese sandwich would have been a requirement. Since I don't eat bread or cheese anymore, I will need to think on that. 🤔

Awesome work!! I need to make some healthy soups this week! They fill you up and so good for you. That is awesome on the waist! I have been trying to get my waist to 30" and struggle! I don't know if it is my age or menopause, but the trainer says to lose more weight if I want it off there. I like where I am at for weight. Where do you measure your waist at?

@Redporch: At 5'8" you are at a marvelous weight! I'm 51 and went through menopause last year, but don't store fat in the stomach (thighs are that warehouse). I have genetics to thank for the waist, as I have an hourglass figure rather than an athletic build. I measure at the narrowest part of the curve, under the ribs and above the navel.

You’re killing it! Nice progress

Genetics does play a big factor for sure. I do not carry anything in my thighs. My mother was always very thin but she would carry it in her belly so I am just trying to keep it under control. I did not want to be a lady with skinny legs and a beer belly! LOL You are doing great. Menopause does change things but I have learned that it is only an excuse and to find what works. Love following your progress!

@Redporch: I find it disturbing that the BMI rules are broken down further for older women, "allowing" them to hang onto extra padding instead of pushing them to maintain a healthier weight. Fat is Fat, and it's like a consolation prize handed out by doctors to patients that just don't want to put down the fork to hit that minimum 24.9%. I'm already appalled that my thighs still touch. But I am working hard to fix that! 👁️🏆

@Wyo, @Groat: Dropped off my 2-week Plateau with a 4.7 lb. loss in just 6 days! Soup and Sleep for the win 😄. Tried on my goal jeans this morning; they go over my hips but I cannot button or zip them, so more walking & hiking is planned for the weekend.
