It is better to look not at the weight, but at the volume. You probably look more fit

But I am definitely in deficit I’m monitoring it very precisely, everything gets weighed. I eat around 1700kcal a day and my run burns 300-500kcal depending on the time I spend on it. I should be loosing idk why I haven’t :( Eating healthy things and no alcohol

Be mindful that when you start exercising you lose fat but you also gain muscle. So the net result can take a while to show a drop. Do keep at it. 💪🏻 x

Well I’ve decided to lower my calorie consumption to 1400kcal per day and keep doing my runs. Oh and not weigh myself for another year. Somethings clearly not working. I started noticing the change in my body so I weighed myself but now I wish I never did

don't go by your weight as you have probably built muscle. muscle is heavier, go by your measurements, how you feel and look. x

You will have muscle inflammation from the running you would have Lost fat but not weight keep your head up your doing amazing and your health will thank you ( speaking from someone with a degree in physiology )

Hi cheifmostpopular I’m going to assume the questions were for me if not i shall give an answer for you anyway if that’s okay. In terms of muscle inflammation doing any exercise that works muscle whether that be running or weight lifting etc will cause this however by exercising you are burning calories allowing for a calorie deficit. The muscle inflammation does not affect fat loss as the inflammation is temporary due to short term muscle damage and repair process which will often result in muscle hypertrophy ( increase in size ) causing causing weight gain due to muscle. Helped along by protein intake as the amino acids support muscle repair and this is good as having an increased muscle mass will improve your metabolism. Hope this helps

In all I do recommend weight lifting over running to burn fat due to the reasons stated above but if running is your preferred exercise then I recommend increasing the intensity in some of your runs as staying at the same intensity maybe causing a plateau in fat loss

Also decreasing calories may not be much help as it will decrease metabolism it’s more about the protein intake being high and carbohydrates intake is reduced that is more important than the calories themselves
