Having a hard time. Trying to get back in LCHF. Blowing it in the evenings to accommodate wife's food desires and company. Next week should be different. Funny how, though you've done it before, it can be a struggle to get back into it. I really want to give it a go to see if I get a particular result. Weight loss will be kind of secondary to my goals, though it will be a part of it.

Sadly, I am a binger. I will do well for days, weeks, even months and then some weird and random trigger will set me off. Sometimes I can make myself get right back to eating the way I feel best and sometimes I can't. I do best with lists and planning as I am very much a "rule follower."

When it comes to blowing it, we usually start out the day right in line with what we are supposed to have then cave in at dinner and evening. I will log in what I am having for dinner before I actually eat it. That way I am committed to what I have wrote down. I fix something else for my spouse and eat what I am supposed to if his meal isn't Atkins friendly, such as breaded chicken strips. Maybe you should be in charge of your meal instead of your wife.

Oh, no, diehard. I am in control of my meals and it's actually quite rare that I find myself in this circumstance. In fact, I usually do the cooking and toe the line quite well. It's just that I decided a few days ago that I need to go into a mild cutting diet. It's just a matter of maybe getting back into the whole idea. Add to that that I'm radically changing my diet from having carbs to being quite low carbs and there's the struggle. I may go to the zone diet again so I get used to thinking in terms of macros and then taper the carbs out from there. That should be easier, and I think a more viable plan.
