How can I gain 3lbs overnight? Well, yes I did let the elephant take control yesterday and I was very indulgent but 3lbs? Just read an interesting article which helps me understand some of the factors that I think have contributed to this. 1) dehydration: I didn’t keep myself hydrated as I was out and about; 2) the food I ate was high in salt which has meant my body has retained excess water; 3) exceeded the set amount of calories: yes, but not significantly; 4) timing of my last meal was late and it wasn’t a great meal to have as my body wouldn’t have been able to use any of the energy in it. I enjoyed my day and, yes, there are so many things I could have done to ensure the gain wasn’t so significant and this is what I need to try and remember for next time.
107.6 kg Lost so far: 30.2 kg.    Still to go: 16.9 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I think you're probably right that all those things can affect the weight on the scale at a given point in time. I also think they're just temporary and unimportant in the longer journey. We all have ups and downs. Well done for your weight loss so far. I think you're doing really well.

I sometimes find that can happen and the next day b gone again, maybe ur right, All of the factors above can create a gain and then drop off again xx

Yes, I have had overnight jumps of up to 1.5 kg. Its a horrible weigh in moment. But I can usually track it back to one of the above mentioned

I’ve had an overnight jump too - weighed myself this morning out of curiosity. But was out and had beef teriyaki and other salt laden deliciousness. And ate late so did not do my intermittent fast. Expect it’ll drop again over the next few days. All the reasons you have stated.

Hey I weighed myself this morning , had 2 cups of tea in bed, then weighed again. Put on 400 g 😀😃😃 from lying in bed drinking tea. It's mad 🙃🙃🙃
