Dear body. Okay, no more salt.

Finding that 4 days lifting is too much on the cut. Switching to 3 day 5x5. It should be interesting.

Raspberries almost destroyed by the wind last night. Time to stake them up.

Hope everyone's having a great day. Dog is a little better today, but she had a rough couple of days again. No pain. Just no energy. Thanks, everyone who asked.

Keep up with the diet and hit the gym hard 3 days a week.I'm sure you will get the results you want to see.

King. It's not that I don't think I've recovered. I just find two days in a row the second day I lack energy. On the cut, I'm not too worried about gaining strength - I just don't want to lose any. I've been doing goblet squats. The power rack is in the makings today.

Nothing fun about being in a caloric deficit, especially when lifting weights.Lacking energy after lifting 2 days in a row is part of the not so fun part.Watching the reps and sets go down and feeling weaker.I agree with just trying to maintain strength and I was always told to try to lift as heavy as I can even if that means less reps, sets or even a day at the gym at times.

Hmm. I'm kind of spooked by the 'missed days at the gym. :) It's in my basement though. It's a pretty solid reminder that I'm slacking off. I'm carb cycling and this gives me one more day in a good solid deficit. The hard deficit days are also less carbs all together. I prefer lifting with energy, so I'll see if the 3 a week works. I read everything I can get my hands on and then try it for myself. :)

I'm a big fan of old school training methods many of which are full body routines just 3 days a week.Guys back in the 50's used 3 day a week routines with awesome results.a lot of those guys believed in 24-36 hour rest between any lifting to recover.Carb cycling? When Vince Gironda wanted to cut back in the day he would eat a diet of nothing but steak & eggs 5 days a week, then carb up on the 6th day and then start all over again! He used a 3 day a week routine also.If it worked back then it will still work today.

Yeah, I'm looking at all these options. Steak and eggs will be my go to this fall if I get my moose.
