melissatwa's Journal, 08 Mar 22

Just hanging in there. Lots of yard work. Pruning and caring for the roses is a big job right now. I enjoyed the several days we went away to the Oregon coast. We came home to lots of stress right away... Including a major water leak over the weekend. "Leak" is an understatement... Gush is more like it. I'm not getting to the gym, but I'm keeping my calories in check again. One day at a time. ❤️

One day at a time is plenty, in some circumstances. I hope the water leak repair will be finished quickly and will not be too expensive.

Thanks, liv and Erquiaga, honestly, I was just grateful it was "only" a water problem. When we were jerked from sleep by our oldest son yellling in a panicked way for his dad to come, my first thought was something was horribly wrong with his sister. Seeing a flood of water was almost a relief... It puts things into perspective. We were so grateful to be home, so the water to the house was quickly turned off, and the damaged was not nearly what it could have been!

My initial sentiments were the same as Erg1 - Sorry to hear about that after we all enjoyed your days away - but - as luck would have it - at least you were at home when a problem came up - that is too bad - water damage is the worst.

What a mess! But "thing" problems are so much better than "people" problems. Can't wait to see some gorgeous roses, we are all beneficiaries of your hard work! (((HUGS)))

Eva, truely, we can become so overwhelmed looking too far ahead, but sometimes we need the hope things will get better! ❤️ I hope your week is going alright!
