Not really a breakfast smoothy, but... 30 gr vanilla protein shake mix (I like muscle tech), 1 c milk, 1 frozen banana, 1 cup frozen raspberries. As a post workout I add a further 50 gr of an unsweetened protein powder (leanfit vanilla). Yum.

What is it with people and veggies in their smoothies. Ew!!!

It's a healthy smoothie. But still have to laugh at NM... I would give it a go if it didn't have a days' worth of calories.

I with ya on that one NM! No veggies in my shakes. I’m too lazy to get the blender out so I just mix up one or two scoops of unflavored protein powder, 1 tsp stevia, cup of greek yogurt, cup of unsweetened coconut milk and either 1/2 tsp cinnamon or if I need more calories 2 TBS peanut butter. Then I shake it all in my shakey cup with the spring ball whisk thing.

I like mine thick. Frozen fruit - that's the ticket. Almond butter for me. Peanut butter makes me --- die.

Peanut butter IS my fruit. LOL! One thing I do that I didn’t mention is that after I make the shake I put it in the freezer for 30 min or so before I consume it. I found that with the protein powder, if I just mix it and drink it immediately I get terrible bloating. If I let it sit with the lid open and “off gas” for 30 minutes or so, then consume, no stomach problems. I’m not sure if it is really “off gassing” but I do know that I have stomach pains for about an hour if I skip this step.

Any chance you're intolerant to dairy? Protein powder shakes just seem to vapourize into my system.

NM, I have never had problems in the past with dairy. I never really drank much milk but when I did, no issues. I ate a lot of ice cream though, it never bothered me!! I did recently discover that I cant handle almond milk. Gives me bad stomach cramps. I was talking to my mom about it and she has the same problem. Weird. I know that there are a lot of people are sensitive to whey though. I looked into pea protein but its much more expensive.

Draglist you're missing out not adding some kind of nut oil to your smoothies. Try it in a banana shake. It's deadly (but not like peanutbutter). As to blending my veggies... I'm afraid that may be doing that for me in another 30 years if I make it that far. Brad. I'm not sure there's much dairy in milk anymore. I remember when Ice cream had cream in it. Frozen custard??? I put on weight just thinking about it.

If you have a very good blender, you can cut back on the milk and it's incredibly thick.
