A few poor days dieting and the blame falls squarely on a home made pear cake and an apple cake that ended up calling my name. This has led to a bit of a weight gain. No biggie but I wish they weren't made then I wouldn't be at all tempted. A few decent diet days are now called for to recover, which seems to be a pattern for October.

On a plus side my running is going extremely well with a hat trick of decent personal bests in short succession: I finished the 5k park run on Saturday in 29M46S, on Tuesday I finished my short circular route of 8.5Km in 59M27S and finally yesterday I jogged around my hilly 11 mile round the lake route in 2H9M a 14 minute improvement on my previous best. All of a sudden I am finding lots of extra speed running up the hills as my muscles continue to adapt.

Today it's the turn of swimming and barbells but at a relaxed pace.

In the garden we are getting toward the end of the runner beans and raspberries and now just started on the celery and cavolo nero.
